Responding to the numerous commendations, Rt. Hon. Sir Sam I. Onuigbo expressed profound appreciation to Evangelist Abraham N. Osondu (Snr.), and De Lioness for organising the reception and thanked all guests for their overwhelming support and presence.

In an inspiring address, he reflected on his journey in public service, recounting his years in legislative leadership, his advocacy for environmental protection, and the determination that culminated in the successful passage of Nigeria’s landmark Climate Change Act. He emphasised that the achievement was the product of collaboration and acknowledged several individuals whose encouragement and support proved invaluable throughout the legislative process.

Among those he specially recognised were Dr. Eugene Itua, His Excellency Senator Bukola Saraki, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, members of his immediate political constituency, and, most especially, his beloved wife, whose steadfast encouragement and sacrifices sustained him throughout his public service journey.

Rt. Hon. Onuigbo also extended his sincere appreciation to the Abia State Union UK, particularly its President, Mazi Godson Azu, and the Women Leader, Dr. Lioness, for honouring the occasion with their presence and demonstrating the continued support of the Abia diaspora community.
