I am very pleased and honoured to be granted in UK-Africa Summit, #investafrica2020 in London. Where I had the opportunity to meet with some great African leaders, including my own state Governor HE. Dr. Ikpeazu PhD, with whom I had a brief discussion with on our ongoing Abia Diaspora City project, an opportunity for Abians in Diaspora to own a home directly through the Housing project, which the Governor is fully in support, as the state government and local community have made provision of a huge land for the project take off, in the New Umuahia capital city extension. We look forward to being in Umuahia shortly for the project groundbreaking with the Executive Governor. Also discussed with the Governor is about the Abia in Diaspora Homecoming project, headed by the Hon. Special Assistant to the Governor on Diaspora Affairs and Special Duties Dr. Ngozi Erondu, in his words the Governor said it is welcome idea and he is in full support of the great Initiative to collectively bring together as many Abian Sons and Daughters, from 2nd to 4th generations leaving around the world in one great place, the capital city of Umuahia in December 2020, to enable them celebrate Abia Diaspora Day together, and to share ideas with the Governor on his developmental programs. The Governor also used the opportunity to seek for the further collaboration with Abians In Diaspora on his administrations quest for power generation in the state through Wast to Energy technology, and the investment interest on the huge Eynimba City project in Aba, which he said is going to increase the economic and social development growth of the state.
Abia in Diaspora 2020 would be a great year us all.
