A Source from the Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who spoke on condition, has revealed how Senator Emmanuel Andy Uba went behind party leadership and hijacked the primaries for the governorship election.

It is already history that Senator Andy Uba emerged winner of the party’s primaries held on June 26, 2021, and has been acknowledged by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as such despite it acknowledged in its memo that APC held no primaries in the state on the given date.

The Source recounted about a night when Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo held a meeting with aspirants and other party stalwarts at Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

During the meeting, Vice President Osinbajo addressed APC stalwarts over the upcoming November 6 Anambra Polls and pleaded the course of fairness, justice, equity and transparency.

Reacting to Vice President Osinbajo’s presentation, the source lamented:

“Little did Mr Vice President and all of us present at this occasion, inclusive of the APC Uga politician (referring to Senator Uba who hails from Uga) know that the latter had already hijacked the whole process.

“And that the theme of the said night at Transcorp Hilton Abuja; “Fairness, Justice, Equity at the APC primary election in Anambra State” had already been jeopardized by some men seated around the Vice President Prof Yemi Osinbajo that same night!”

He noted that the Uga politician has already perfected his “abominable nocturnal act” right before the word “GO”.

He continued: “As a matter of fact, I will go look for the moment the APC Uga politician tendered his own manifesto.

“He only stood up after some seconds of refusal, that George Muoghalu should speak before him, so that he catches some breath as he hurriedly came in for the session only God knows from where.

“And when he finally accepted to speak, he simply alleged that rumour peddlers were already peddling the false info that he the APC Uga politician had already bought over the APC National Working Committee and stakeholders and the APC gubernatorial ticket.

“That such rumors should be ignored as he was ready to go to the polls with other aspirants.

“Little did we know that the APC Uga politician only came up to confidently divulge his abominable nocturnal act before the general public,” he concluded.

In the meantime, thirteen of the fourteen aspirants who participated in the “dubious” primaries have rejected the emergence of Andy Uba and asked INEC not to approve the exercise.

They also asked the party to cancel the election and conduct a fresh one long before INEC drew the curtain on party primaries
